Albert Popov, born on August 8, 1997 in Sofia, is Bulgaria's most successful slalom skier. Since his World Cup debut in 2014, he has established himself as a talented athlete and first attracted attention in 2019 with an impressive 6th place in Schladming. Popov impresses with his dynamics and technique on challenging courses, despite his small stature. In the 2024/25 season, he celebrated his first World Cup victory in Madonna di Campiglio.
