The Crowning glory of a successful season
With a heart-stopping finale and Germany's Franziska Preuss winning the overall World Cup, plus the legendary Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bø bidding farewell, a very successful season for the ONE WAY Race Team came to an end on Sunday. Athletes with the bright orange Premio 40 poles celebrated on the podium no less than 86 times - more often than ever before in the World Cup. In addition to dominating at the Biathlon World Championships, ONE WAY also secured the most Biathlon podium places in the World Cup with 44% of the available total.

Only after a dramatic neck-and-neck battle on the final lap of the last competition of the season, following an unfortunate fall by France's Lou Jeanmonnot, did the final result go in favor of Franziska Preuss.

After four World Cup victories, four second places, and five third places in 21 competitions, the affable Pursuit world champion deservedly held the large globe in her hands for the first time as Overall World Cup winner. Added to that were the small globes for topping the Mass Start and Sprint rankings.
„The race was really emotional at the end. It was such an exciting race and then the fall. It wasn't the way I wanted to win. I would have preferred a fight on the home straight. But it was still a big dream come true for me."

Julia Simon from France finished the 24-25 season in third place overall after her four world championship titles in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, while her young teammate Oceane Michelon, in fifth place overall, was awarded the trophy for the best U23 skier. With France’s Justine Braisaz-Bouchet in eighth place and Norway’s Marken Kirkeeide in tenth place, two other ONE WAY athletes made the leap into the top ten of the Overall World Cup.

The final day of the men's Biathlon belonged to Johannes Thingnes Bø. The exceptional Norwegian athlete celebrated his retirement from the Biathlon with his brother Tarjei.

Had he not been slowed down by illness on the penultimate World Cup weekend, he would have held up the large globe for the Overall World Cup once again at the end of the season, following his three gold and two silver medals at this year's World Championships. And so, after five Overall World Cup titles, he stepped away with the small globe for winning the Sprint classification and enjoyed the moment to its fullest.
„It was a journey as a family. To come here and finish it together at Holmenkollen is incredible. This is the last finish line we will cross together in the World Cup. I am so happy that I was able to experience this journey with my brother Tarjei."
Johannes Thingnes Bø, 5 times Overall World Cup winner
With Quentin Fillon Maillet from France placing fifth, just ahead of the Italian Tommaso Giacomel in sixth place, and Vebjørn Sørum in ninth place, three more ONE WAY athletes were able to finish in the top ten of the Overall World Cup.
In the Nordic Combined, Ida Marie Hagen fell just short of winning the overall World Cup due to her disqualification at the Seefeld Triple. The successful Norwegian nevertheless celebrated seven World Cup victories, two second places, and a third place in fourteen competitions this season, finishing in a very commendable second place in the overall standings.
In cross-country skiing, Finland's Jasmi Joensuu secured the Sprint World Cup thanks to her consistency, and finished ninth in the Overall World Cup ahead of Teresa Stadlober from Austria. Astrid Øyre Slind, on the other hand, was successful over the long distances. With four World Cup victories, five second places, and five third places, the Norwegian can also look back on a very successful season with second place in the Distance World Cup and fourth place in the Overall World Cup.
Emilie Fleten (NOR, Team Ramudden) finished in second place overall in the Ski Classics series after five individual victories, including a win at the traditional Marcialonga, and also won the climb classification. Silje Øyre Slind (NOR, Team Aker Dæhlie) finished fifth overall after winning the Engadin La Diagonela.
