A SPARKLING SEASON FOR ONE WAY


Beaming trophy and medal winners, along with numerous athletes on the podium once again: ONE WAY looks back with pride on a successful 25–26 winter season. Across all disciplines, ONE WAY athletes secured a total of 103 World Cup podium finishes, won 42 medals at the Olympic Games, and made a splash with 62 medals at the Nordic Youth, Junior, and U23 World Championships. ONE WAY has thus once again established itself as a reliable partner to the world’s elite.

ONE WAY Highlights, Facts & Figures for the 25-26 Season:


BIATHLON

  1. With 42.9% of all podium finishes, ONE WAY is the most successful pole brand in the World Cup.
  2. At the Olympics, a remarkable 58.3% of all medalists were successful using Premio 40 poles from ONE WAY.
  3. Sturla Holm Lægreid (NOR) delivers a brilliant season finale with five consecutive World Cup victories, finishes second in the overall World Cup standings, and secures the small crystal globe for winning the Sprint World Cup.
  4. Julia Simon (FRA) secures the small crystal globe for victory in the Mass Start World Cup after winning three gold and one silver medals at the Olympics.
  5. Lisa Vittozzi (ITA) finishes third in the overall World Cup standings at the end of her successful season.
  6. Tommaso Giacomel (ITA) finishes the season in sixth place in the overall World Cup standings, despite having to end the season early due to health reasons.
  7. Maren Kirkeeide (NOR) wins her first Olympic gold medal, as do Oceane Michelon (FRA), Johannes Dale-Skjevdal (NOR), and Martin Ponsiluoma (SWE), and is named the top U23 athlete.
  8. At the Youth and Junior World Championships, ONE WAY emerges as the most successful pole brand, accounting for 40.2% of all medalists.
  9. The two all-stars, Dorothea Wierer (ITA) and Franziska Preuss (GER), retire from their extraordinarily successful careers.

CROSS-COUNTRY & NORDIC COMBINED

  1. Lars Heggen (NOR) is named the top U23 athlete. In his debut World Cup season, he celebrates his first World Cup victory and secures second place in the Sprint World Cup.
  2. Emilie Fleten (NOR, Team Ramudden) secures victory in the two biggest ski marathons, the Marcialonga and the Vasaloppet. She finishes second in the overall standings of the Ski Classics series.
  3. Teresa Stadlober (AUT) makes sports history for Austria and finishes second in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski.
  4. Ida Marie Hagen (NOR) racks up an incredible eleven World Cup victories, wears the yellow jersey all winter long, and wins the overall World Cup title in masterful style.
  5. Minja Korhonen (FIN) celebrates her first World Cup victory and finishes the season in third place in the overall World Cup standings.

ALPINE

  1. Eduard Hallberg (FIN) celebrates his first World Cup podium this season, stands on the podium three times in total, and establishes himself consistently among the world’s best with six top-ten finishes.
  2. Linus Straßer (GER) finishes third at the prestigious slalom in Kitzbühel.
  3. Stefan Rogentin (SUI) shows strong consistency in the World Cup with 11 top-ten finishes and secured third place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
  4. Fabian Gratz (GER) also makes his mark at the top with three World Cup top-ten finishes.

FREESTYLE & SKIMO

  1. Mathilde Gremaud (SUI) makes a clear statement in freeski with Olympic gold and a World Cup victory in Stubai (AUT).
  2. In ski mountaineering, Marianne Fatton (SUI) makes history as the first sprint Olympic champion and becomes European champion in the sprint.
  3. Sarah Dreier (AUT) celebrates a World Cup victory, adds two podiums, and finishes third in the overall World Cup. Additionally, she wins the European Championship title in Vertical.
  4. Christof Hochenwarter (AUT) celebrates a World Cup podium with a third-place finish.
