Thrilling hundredths-of-a-second thrillers are back

The World Cup opener in Sölden on October 25th is traditionally followed by the slalom in Levi (FIN). Swiss skiers Daniel Yule and Ramon Zenhäusern guarantee excitement, having been among the world's best for years with podium finishes and Olympic and World Championship success. Slalom ace Linus Straßer, with Olympic silver and World Championship bronze under his belt, is also among the favorites. Albert Popov (BUL) and AJ Ginnis (GRE) are also expected to deliver strong results this season. Up-and-coming technical skiers such as Eduard Hallberg (FIN), Juan Del Campo (ESP), Jett Seymour (USA), as well as Germany's Sebastian Holzmann and Fabian Gratz continue to strive for top world rankings. There is also news on the women's side: 18-year-old Romy Ertl (GER), daughter of skiing legend Martina Ertl, has moved up to the extended World Cup squad – her potential promises a great future.

In the speed disciplines, Stefan Rogentin and Justin Murisier (both SUI) are among the podium contenders. Other hopefuls include Arnaud Boisset (SUI), Sam Morse (USA), and Finnish talent Elian Lehto.

Nordic skiing is looking forward to great success

The Nordic World Cup starts on November 27th in Ruka (FIN), followed by the Biathlon World Cup on November 29th in Östersund (SWE). With over 100 athletes, the ONE WAY team is in a strong position.

In cross-country skiing, Jasmi Joensuu (FIN), the Sprint World Cup winner, and Astrid Øyre Slind (NOR) stand out. Junior World Champion Lars Heggen (NOR) and Swedish U-23 World Champions Anton Grahn and Märta Rosenberg are among the most promising young talents.

The biathlon team is led by Franziska Preuß (GER), last year's overall World Cup winner, and Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA), who emerged as the best team biathlete after Johannes Thingnes Bø's retirement. Other French favorites include Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Océane Michelon. Norway's elite includes Vetle Christiansen, Vebjørn Sørum, Endre Strømsheim, and Maren Kirkeeide. The highly-competitive Swedish skier Martin Ponsiluoma completes the Scandinavian line-up. The Italian biathletes are also particularly motivated ahead of their home competition – led by Dorothea Wierer, Tommaso Giacomel, and Lisa Vittozzi.

Ski Mountaineering goes Olympic

The SKIMO team will start the World Cup season on December 6th in Solitude (USA). The highlight will be the Olympic premiere with sprint and mixed relay. At the top are Sprint world champion Marianne Fatton (SUI) and Sarah Dreier (AUT), both with numerous World Cup victories and World Championship medals. The team is complemented by Christof Hochenwarter (AUT) and rising talent Florian Sautel (FRA).

Sweep off the podiums and polish up the medals – the ONE WAY athletes are ready to go!
